Its typography that spelled words words when they were re-arranged. this piece was a tribute to my first love who died from HIV-aids Paul, he was going to be a screen writer. this language was for him and i have used it to this very day in my art. carl
Back story to events leading up to the creation of this work:
After I had created the artwork for color typography / gouache on museum board 2 ply white number 8 black box variable #8 . This Box was unusual in that I found it at a namta vendor for century archival storage boxes. well any way it was the exact size of my color typography artwork 8' square and 2" deep. I bought it at the show and the rep said he would ship it to me. I said great, they were in san Francisco and i was in south carthay near Fairfax. Time went by no box , i called several times no answer. when i called and did get an answer, i found out the delay was due to the 1989 loma prieta earthquake and that he was up and running now and would soon send it out. Well I did get the box and everything fit perfectly.
